On this 8-day safari, you will experience two of the most well-preserved ancient cultures in Africa – the Maasai pastoralists and Hadzabe bushmen. You will also experience a classic Northern Tanzania safari in Lake Manyara National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, and the Serengeti.
Day 1-2 - Arrive - Olpopongi Masai Village
Your journey begins as you arrive and are warmly welcomed into the Olpopongi Masai Village. Immerse yourself in the traditions and daily life of the Masai people, gaining insights into their unique customs, dances, and crafts. Accommodations within the village provide an authentic and enriching experience.
Maasai Lodge Tanzania – Africa Amini Life is located at the foot of Kilimanjaro and is surrounded by a 200-hectare nature reserve. The lodge offers an outdoor pool and a bio-sauna.
Day 3 - Olpopongi Masai Village - Tengeru Village
Venture to Tengeru Village, where the cultural mosaic of Tanzania continues to unfold. Engage with the local community, participating in their daily activities and gaining a deeper understanding of their way of life. This day offers a unique blend of cultural immersion and picturesque landscapes.
Situated just outside Arusha and set on 30 acres of land this tranquil lodge offers superb views of Lake Duluti.
Day 4 - Monduli Juu Cultural
Explore the enchanting Monduli Juu Cultural village, situated amidst the verdant Monduli Juu hills. Engage in cultural exchanges, witness traditional performances, and savor local cuisine. The day is filled with opportunities to connect with the warm hospitality and rich heritage of the Monduli people.
Monduli Juu Bush Campsite is situated in an authentic Maasai community just outside of Arusha town on the Mountains.Offer Maasai Experiences at Large.
Day 5-6 - Lake Eyasi - Cultural Interaction & Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Find a cultural exploration around Lake Eyasi, interacting with local tribes like the Hadzabe and Datoga. Witness age-old traditions, from hunting techniques to beadwork. Transition to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where the stunning landscapes and diverse wildlife serve as a backdrop to your cultural encounters.
Lake Eyasi Safari Lodge offers stunning views over the seasonal soda lake and up to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
Day 7 - Masai Village Visit - Olduvai Gorge
Visit another Masai village, deepening your understanding of their nomadic lifestyle and ancient traditions. Continue to the iconic Olduvai Gorge, a cradle of humankind, where archaeological wonders unfold. The day offers a fascinating blend of cultural immersion and historical exploration.
Sculpted into a granite outcrop in the Ngorongoro in south-central Serengeti, Olduvai Camp has an authentic, family atmosphere.
Day 8 - Mto wa Mbu - Arusha
Conclude your cultural odyssey with a visit to Mto wa Mbu, a vibrant town known for its diverse ethnic groups. Experience a colorful market and engage with locals before heading back to Arusha. Your journey ends with a newfound appreciation for Tanzania's cultural diversity and the warm hospitality that defines this extraordinary land.
