A 5 Days Tanzania Walking Safari is a whole new experience from just getting on a jeep and looking at animals. It's a much more intimate way of not only seeing animals in their natural habitat but also experiencing more details about their lifestyle.
Our tour starts from Moshi in the morning and drives to Ngorongoro crater more than 2000 feet deep with diameter of 12 miles home to 30000 animals and is among the wonders of the world identified by UNESCO. A large concentration of wildebeest is found in the Ngorongoro crater. After our game drive camp and overnight will be at the rim of the crater.
Ngorongoro Rhino Lodge is a mid-range accommodation in Ngorongoro Crater Rim which views the opposite side of the Crater.
Our walking tour will begin after breakfast heading to Olmoti Crater for a half-day walk passing through Masai villages to the waterfalls at the crater floor, we will walk up to our base camp at Empakai Crater where lots of wild animals are in view with birds like flamingoes.
Lemala Ngorongoro Tented Camp is intimately set in a delightful ancient acacia forest close to the rim of the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater.
After breakfast, we will break camp and start walking from Empakai to Lake Natron descending the Great Rift Valley walking through the open plains of Embulbul through Naiobi Maasai village meeting the locals, on our way you will be able to view Oldonyo Lengai mountain and also Mount Meru. Dinner and overnight at Accacia campsite.
Acacia Serengeti Migration Camp is in the Kogatende area. This is a semi-permanent mobile tented camp in anticipation of the movements.
As usual, we break camp after breakfast and start a steep 5-6 hours walk down the Rift Valley escarpment to the foot of the only active volcano in Tanzania Mount Oldonyo Lengai which the Masai regard as HOLY. You have an option whether to climb or not, whereas those climbing will camp at chini ya mti campsite. Those proceeding will camp at Engaresero campsite for dinner and overnight.
It is built on Maasai land at the edge of Engaresero ('clean water') village. Locals are involved in the running of the camp.
A short tour of the masai village where the guide will lead you to experience Masai culture and traditions in their Maasai Boma through lake natron back to your hotel in Moshi.
